As a higher education institution, the School of Architecture has an obligation to carry on activities for the purpose of artistic development and to conduct scientific research in the field of architecture.
Research activities are supervised by scientific personnel and supplemented by a number of enrolled PhD students.
Research covers a broad spectrum of areas from theory of architecture, planning, design and communication to restoration and building science. Furthermore, it embodies development work as well as architectural experimentation.
Research and study results are imparted to the general academic community via books, reports and compendia. These are generally published by the School or in periodicals. Exhibitions are arranged primarily at the School's own galleries, among others the annual exhibition of all final projects.
