The School
During the academic year 2009-10 Study Departments 1, 3, 7, 8, 10 and 11 teach in English.
Orientation programme
An orientation programme is arranged for international students. During these days we deal with important information on practical matters. There will also be social activities in order to get to know each other and the Danish students as well as an introduction to the many aspects of Danish architecture and Denmark. Detailed information about the introduction programme will be distributed to all international students before arrival.
Transfer credits
The education is studio based, and you may find the study system and methods different from previous experiences. To achieve the maximum benefit from your stay you are well advised to concentrate your efforts on the project-work in your department. There are only a few optional courses during the year in English.
Your work is continuously supervised and at the end of each semester it is submitted to the assessment of the teaching staff of your department and you will receive a written evaluation of your work/progress, with marks and ECTS points (max. 30 ECTS per semester). Be sure to receive your evaluation before leaving Denmark at the end of your studies.
Students' Association
The students are organised in a student association: ‘Elevforsamlingen’ (ELF). ELF is responsible for the election of student representatives to the governing bodies of the school, e.g. the school council.
Student counselling
The school has a student counsellor: Runa Søgaard Krohn. Counselling by appointment on e-mail: runa.krohn@kadk.dk. The counselling service is a place where you for example can talk about study planning, personal problems or how to handle conflicts that may arise during your studies.
