Learning environment
Students of architecture spend a lot of time at the school. They work at the school – but do much more than that.
They also meet for coffee at the cafeteria, they go to the school library in search of inspiration and knowledge, they go to exhibits, they play ball games on the great lawns, they meet at the kayaking and rowing club and they throw amazing parties.
Alternating exhibits are held in H’et, Mehldals Smedie and at the departments. As a student, you will be able to exhibit your work and view exhibits of co-students’ work and on international trends and challenges. Researchers and students at the school exhibit what is on their mind. The exhibits are a means to connect with the big world outside of the school and to generate debates at the school among students, departments and groups of researchers.
The cafeteria is not only meant for eating. It is also a place where you can get together with friends and acquaintances and chat about what you are keeping busy with.
Holmen provides the setting for a campus for schools of fine arts. In addition to the School of Architecture, you will also find the School of Design, the Danish National School of Contemporary Dance, the National Film School of Denmark, the Danish National School of Theatre and Rhythmic Music Conservatory.
