As a foreign student you are allowed to work 15 hours a week, as well as full-time during the months of June, July and August.
Upon the satisfactory completion of the final project and the subsequent examination, the graduate is awarded the Diploma in Architecture (cand.arch).
All graduation students receive a diploma, including the title of degree in Danish and English, as well as a Diploma Supplement. The purpose of the supplement is to provide sufficient independent data to improve the international ‘transparency’ and fair academic and professional recognition of qualifications (diplomas, degrees, certificates etc.).
The master’s degree at the school provides an immediate opportunity to work as an architect and admittance into the Architects’ Association of Denmark (AA). Members of AA are entitled to add MAA to his or her name. There is no legal protection of title or function, ie. one may use the title architect and practise independently without listed qualifications. The title “Architect, MAA” is the protected and internationally recognized title for those practicing professionally in the field of architecture in Denmark.
In addition, graduates of the Master’s programme can go on to complete a PhD programme geared towards an academic career.
In Denmark, all international students have the opportunity to stay on after their studies to seek a job: www.newtodenmark.dk
