Visiting Students

You can apply in 2 ways for studying 1 or 2 semesters at The School of Architecture in Copenhagen

  • as an exchange student which is for students whose home school has an exchange agreement with our school, i.e. Erasmus.
  • as a visiting student which is for students whose home school does not have an exchange agreement with us. The following information is for students who are eligible to apply as a visiting student.

Like exchange students visiting students are 'non-degree' students, which mean that they cannot present themselves for an academic degree or a diploma. If you choose to apply, your studies with us must be part of your study plan at your home institution, which means that credits gained at our School of Architecture must be transferable to your school of architecture.

You can apply for 1 or 2 semesters. Each semester is credited 30 ECTS-points, and you can max. earn 60 ECTS-points (= 2 semesters) while studying here. Students from Scandinavia, from LIFE (Copenhagen University), Danmarks Designskole and Designskolen i Kolding apply on the same terms as Danish students and are required to use the Danish application form.

Studies are conducted in one of 9 study departments in the Master programme (usually with the 4th year students). When applying you are asked to choose a study department. Please search the website for information regarding each department.
